Free radical damage has been implicated in a number of adverse health conditions. Free radicals can attack, infiltrate, and injure vital cell structures, leading to a destructive chain reaction called lipid peroxidation. This series of reactions causes damage to the lipid layer of cell membranes and can even cause DNA breakage. Free radicals are produced as a result of normal biochemical processes, certain diseases, and environmental or dietary stress. An imbalance of pro-oxidant versus antioxidant processes (i.e., oxidative stress), which occurs more readily as we age, can cause cellular damage and contribute to a number of conditions that are detrimental to health and well being.

Flavonoid molecules found in pigmented fruits and vegetables are responsible for providing color to the plant. In addition, these plant-based flavonoids have been found in numerous studies to exhibit antioxidant activity. When these common plants are eaten, the antioxidant activity of their flavonoids is passed on to us. Unfortunately, most individuals generally do not eat enough fruits and vegetables to gain the full benefit of their flavonoid content.

Planti-Oxidants is a combination of several of the best-researched flavonoid compounds, including silybin from milk thistle (Silybum marianum) as Siliphos, polyphenolic catechins from green tea as Greenselect Phytosome, oligomeric proanthocyanidins from grape seed extract as Leucoselect Phytosome, anthocyanidins from bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus), and Thorne Research's patented water-soluble quercetin. These powerful plant antioxidants enhance the activity of nutrient-based antioxidants.

One Capsule Contains: Bilberry extract (Vaccinium myrtillus) (25% Anthocyanosides) 20 mg, Silybin Phytosome (seed) (Silymarin marianum extract / Phosphatidylcholine complex) 50 mg, Grape Seed Phytosome (Vitis vinifera extract / Phosphatidylcholine complex) 20 mg, Green Tea Phytosome (Camellia sinensis extract / Phosphatidylcholine complex) 50 mg, Quercetin (soluble) 50 mg.

Other Ingredients: Hypromellose (derived from cellulose) capsule. May contain one or more of the following hypoallergenic ingredients to fill space: Magnesium Citrate, Leucine, Silicon Dioxide.

Contains ingredients derived from soy (phytosomes).

This product is contraindicated in an individual with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.

Planti-Oxidants contains grape seed phytosome, silybin phytosome, and green tea phytosome, plant extracts complexed with phosphatidylcholine, which is derived from soy. Phosphatidylcholine contains no soy protein. There are no other soy-based ingredients in Planti-Oxidants.

EXCIPIENT FREE: This product does not contain wheat, gluten, corn, yeast, egg, dairy products, or artificial colors, sweeteners, or flavors. This product also does not contain lactose; palmitic acid; or magnesium, calcium or vegetable stearates.
